Hi, I’m Christie. I’ve always had a keen eye for photo and video, and years ago we took that passion and turned it into something professional — capturing weddings in a natural, honest and modern documentary style. Today, photography and video are the heart of what we do at Lover of the Light Ceremonies.

We’re all about real moments: the emotion, the chaos, the calm, the belly-shaking laughter, the details you didn’t even notice happening. No forced posing, no awkward directions — just genuine storytelling that feels like you. Clean, modern, relaxed and full of life.

I was born in Bradford, grew up in Cape Town, and now live in Leeds with my family. Our own wedding experience changed everything for us. When my dad became terminally ill, the only thing that mattered was having him there to walk me down the aisle. We found Glencoe, said our vows outdoors surrounded by mountains, and it became one of the most meaningful days of my life. That moment is the reason I care so deeply about capturing weddings with heart.

Now we travel all over the UK — barns, warehouses, hotels, beaches, forests, rooftops, stately homes — you name it. Our approach is friendly, easy to get on with and never in your way. We blend into your day, capturing the atmosphere, the people, the connection and the moments that matter.

Alongside photography and film, we also create relaxed, personal celebrant-led ceremonies for couples who want something heartfelt and modern — but storytelling through photo and video is our main focus.
